Came on off season Saturday night early get lucky to get a table on the deck on the second floor with amazing view of the sunset. Located on the Bayview of the strip mall free parking everywhere. They had country music with dance class in the inside. It was very entertaining. It is a large menu. The food was good the crab soup, oysters, and muscles were Good.
We went in the off-season for a late lunch. If the weather was good, sitting outside would have been awesome, but we sat inside, and the decor was great - nautical without being annoying. Food was pretty good but not up to the hype I expected. I'd return in the high season for the rooftop seating and give the menu another try.
Excellent service, special shout out to Laurie (Tina Fay) she was awesome , very helpful & personable.... had the oysters and she crab soup, delicious, a must stop while in HHI...
The Great Gal and I noshed at Poseidon with six others for Happy Hour that rolled into dinner. We were more than lucky to have Server Extraordinaire, Melissa for our table. ... truly personable, on top of her game in every sense of the word. I enjoyed the heck out of deep fried deviled egg. Never had such a dish before. I loved it, although a bit spicy for me. Others at the table loved the spice. I added a bowl of She Crab Cream soup that I absolutely loved. Would have eaten two bowls if I could. The GG went a crab cake, which I nibbled and loved. She also enjoyed oysters, as did everyone else at the table, ..... except me. Not my style! Other table meals enjoyed were chicken sliders, clam strips, sushi with caviar, and spinach salad. Everyone was delighted with meals and drinks! This is a great Hilton Head restaurant to visit!
The salmon saved the meal. I ordered 2 sides of salmon (that would top a salad) and a side of grilled scallops. The salmon was an 8.5 out of 10 but the scallops were a 3 out of 10. The scallops just kind of tasted like char but the salmon was pretty dang buttery, just the tiniest bit dry. I'd eat at Poseidon (get take out) again if I ever came back to HH and would order maybe 3 sides of salmon next time!
Love the theme with perfectly fitting colors of the sea. Service was prompt, courteous and friendly. The food was delicious. Just ask for those market prices so you aren't surprised by the bill.
I loved this place! It was recommended by a local and I had a wonderful experience. It's beautifully decorated with a covered outdoor area and bar. There is also a rooftop bar which is unique. This area is adorable and conveniently located to resorts close by, and the parking is easy. One weird thing was that we were sat at a table by the outside Nauti Bar (less than 10 feet from it), asked about happy hour specials and were told these were exclusively for sitting at the bar or the surrounding tables on the other side. So naturally, we moved. That was strange (maybe it's a separate business?) but the specials were great! $1 oysters and $6 margs, for example. We ordered oysters and then for our mains I had the Fish & Chips which were honestly the best I've ever had in my life. The fish pieces are HUGE and so incredibly crispy. I sent a friend here that traveled to HHI after and he also agreed. My other friend enjoyed her Salmon dish. The portions are grandeur especially for the price point. Our bartender was outstanding and attentive. We also met the manager and he was so nice! He wasn't wrong about this Fish & Chips either - yum! Cannot recommend Poseidon enough!
We we dipped into this restaurant while it was pouring outside to get out of the rain. We did not have reservations and they weren't very busy. So I consider that lucky. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Decor was fun and ship themed. I had the pizza bread and pimento cheese dip. It was delicious and everybody had a chip. the steak was cooked just right.
